Specialist Nurse in Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain
As a Specialist nurse, her role is to support you whilst under the care of CEMIG. She will be your main point of contact should you wish to seek advice or information at a time other than a scheduled appointment.
She runs a monthly support group with the help of volunteers from Endometriosis UK with the aim of providing as much support and information about endometriosis as possible. This group is open to all women with endometriosis. You do not need to be a patient to attend-all are welcome, including family and partners.
Luz has 20 years nursing experience in both inpatient and outpatient services. She has worked in a general surgical ward in the NHS and then moving onto managing outpatient services in the private sector.
Luz trained and qualified in Manila, Philippines, and she started her career working in obstetrics and gynaecology theatres.
She joined Ashford and St Peters in 1999, working in a general surgical ward as a senior staff nurse. She then moved on to the private sector and worked as a manager in Outpatients in 2002. Luz rejoined Ashford and St Peters in 2015 to start working in CEMIG as specialist nurse.

Paula Chaplin RGN
Paula qualified as SRN and Midwife in South Africa coming to the UK to work in Intensive Care in 1998. Later Paula moved to Genito-urinary Medicine and HIV at St Peters Hospital. In 2017 Paula became the Lead Nurse for Genital Pain and Dermatology joining the CEMIG team as a specialist nurse in 2018. Paula has a special interest in helping patients with painful intercourse and the greater impact it has on their lives and she is a passionate advocate for her patients.

Mr Vasileios Minas MRCOG, PhD
Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and Laparoscopic Surgeon
Mr Vasileios Minas is a consultant gynaecologist and obstetrician with a special interest in minimally invasive surgery. His NHS appointment is as Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Chertsey, Surrey.
He completed his undergraduate studies and doctorate thesis at the university of Crete in Greece .
He trained In Oxford and Mersey deaneries and acquired his advanced laparoscopic skills at the Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, one of the largest endometriosis centres in England.
He has a particular interest in the care of women with endometriosis and pelvic pain and has published his extensive academic work in several peer-reviewed International journals.
He has a private practice at the BMI Runnymede Hospital, Chertsey and Woking Nuffield Hospital.

Mr Matthew Erritty MRCOG
Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist
Mr Matthew Erritty is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a specialist interest in minimally invasive surgery. His NHS appointment is Ashford and St Peters Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Chertsey.
He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Bristol and completed Foundation Training in the South Thames deanery. He worked at the Brighton & Sussex Medical School teaching Anatomy before working in Auckland, New Zealand. He entered specialty training in South London Deanery in Obstetrics and Gynaecology before completing his Advanced Training in Kent, Surrey and Sussex deanery at St Peters Hospital. This two year training fellowship included training in advanced laparoscopic surgery for the excision of benign disease.
He has a specialist interest in endometriosis and benign menstrual disorders and is an active contributor to the British Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy.

Mr Michael Adamczyk
Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist
Mr Michael Adamczyk is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and Endometriosis Surgeon at the Centre for Endometriosis and Minimally Invasive Gynaecology (CEMIG) at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (ASPH) in Surrey.
He specialises in Advanced Minimally Invasive Gynaecological Surgery for the excision of endometriosis. He obtained his specialist training from Kent, Surrey and Sussex Deanery. In addition, he completed a high-volume fellowship in advanced endometriosis surgery and a recognised training scheme in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery for the Excision of Benign Disease (Endometriosis) with the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, both under the supervision of renowned endometriosis expert Mr Shaheen Khazali and Mr Vasileios Minas.
Mr Adamczyk has been trained in Neuropelveology and received his Level 2 accreditation from the International Society of Neuropelveology (ISON). Making him the youngest and one of the very few surgeons internationally with formal training in treating patients with pelvic nerve problems.
He has received National and International prizes, including the prestigious Golden Telescope Award from the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE) in 2022. In 2019 he was elected as a council member in charge of the trainee portfolio for the BSGE and re-elected in 2021. Over the years, Mr Adamczyk has significantly contributed to training in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery by setting up and teaching on multiple regional, national and international courses.
His focused interests include endometriosis, pelvic pain, treatments for patients with pelvic nerve pathology, heavy menstrual bleeding, ovarian cysts, and hysteroscopy.
Most importantly, Mr Adamczyk believes in patient-centred multidisciplinary care to ensure that patient voices are heard and acted upon.
